“Wanted to share with you a satellite photo of ice on Lake Michigan….we had subzero cold for 6 consecutive mornings here until this weekend. Interesting to note that the ice is on the southern and western end of the lake from about Milwaukee south to Chicago and Gary, Indiana.
More snow here this morning from a disturbance going by…dropped about 2″ in Milwaukee and still snowing, but the main event here will be tomorrow when we will be on the northern edge of the big storm passing south of us, we will get 2-4″ and actually some lake effect snow on this side of the lake as the low to the south will set up a fetch from the NE to SW bringing snow to the Wisconsin lakeshore counties.
Should be a good fresh snow cover for that southbound cold air to pass over headed to Alabama. That could impact temps there later this week and set up for some snow…plus, I am traveling back to Birmingham Friday for a few days…everyone can then blame me for bringing cold and snow to Alabama.”
