Our squall line is making its move toward Northwest and West Alabama.

The NWS Huntsville has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Colbert, Franklin, Lauderdale ounties till 9:15 PM CST.

The NWS Birmingham just issued for Lamar and Marion Counties until 9:15 p.m.

It is approaching the western border from near Iuka MS to Futon MS to west of Aberdeen MS.
The segment that is approaching northern Lamar and Marion County has shown a propensity to bow out, which indicates the possibiliy of strong, damaging winds.

We see lots of spinners along the line, and the possibility is there for isolated tornadoes for sure.

There is also lots of lightning with the activity.

Winds are high all across the area tonight, even in areas where there are no thunderstorms.

The best idea tonight is to be in a safe, well built location for the duration. Even regular winds as high as we have tonight could bring down trees and large limbs, that could crush automobiles or kill people.

Back in Mississippi, a tornado warning has been issued for Madison and Yahoo Counties. A tornado warning remains in effect for Attala County and one for Jefferson County in SW Mississippi.

A new severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Claiborne, Copiah, and southern Hinds counties back in central Mississippi in the Jackson area. It looks like lots of wind possible with that storm.
