A few early morning downpours are already in progress over parts of Greene, Sumter, and Marengo Counties. The NWS NEXRAD precipitation estimates between Eutaw and Knoxville show anywhere from 0.75″ to 1.50″ of rain in the last hour, which seems in line with the way the storms have been behaving lately.
Other showers are hanging around metro Birmingham and in Tuscaloosa County, but those have not been quite as heavy.
No severe weather is expected this morning, and what few showers we have on radar are drifting west toward the Mississippi state line.
More scattered storms are in the forecast today, and yes, it looks like that 90º streak will stay in tact!
See you on ABC 33/40 starting at 5 AM!
