Time to turn optimistic!
Looks like our best chance of more folks getting some welcome rain this afternoon through Thursday than any three-day stretch in a long, long time.
The storms will be creepers (lazy) The slow movement will let them stay over any one community longer. Of course, there is a downside. The lightning will be throwing darts at you longer.
At 1:20 this afternoon, only a few were in progress over the north 2/3 of Alabama. There were several between Talladega and Gadsden. The best arrangement of showers and storms across the Alabama countryside was over the extreme south.
