Position report at 9 PM on the intense line of thunderstorms:
From Central Arkansas, the line extends east and NE across West and Middle Tennessee. It is a solid line from East Arkansas all the way across Tennessee into SE Kentucky.
Loaded with lightning.
The line of intense storms approaching both Memphis and Nashville. Out ahead of the main line, a shorter line as developed over Extreme North Mississippi. Some of the storms in that shorter line will reach Extreme NW Alabama by around 10 or so.
A number of Severe Thunderstorm Warnings along the line in Tennessee. A few reports:
* 1-3/4 inch hail at Corning, Ark.
* Tornado reported at Rector, Ark.
* Trees down at North Charlotte, Tenn.
* Trees down SE of Trenton, Tenn.
* Tornado reported 1 mile west of Lake City, Ark.
Tornado Watch continues tonight until 2 am, CDT. In Alabama, 11 counties included over the Extreme North, the southernmost county being Cullman
