Warnings are being issued thick and fast this afternoon, so even if loud thunder approaches your location, consider the storm dangerous–the lightning, for sure, and also possible damaging winds and hail.
The latest is a new Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Blount and Walker Counties until 1:45. It is for SW Blount County and East/Central Walker County. The storm was located near Arkadelphia and moving NE very slowly. It could have golfball-size hail and damaging winds over 60. It will also be moving toward Blount Springs.
In the Tennessee Valley, the NWS has also issued warnings for Limestone, Madison and Morgan Counties until 2:00 p.m.

* Broadcast media reports thunderstorm wind damage at 12:41 p.m. Power lines are down near the McDonald’s in Tarrant.
Stay tuned for additional warnings.
