Tropical Storm Jerry was demoted to a depression late this morning. He is way out there 945 miles west of the Azores and moving NE 13.

Not much hope for him. He will be gobbled up by a larger non-tropical low by tomorrow and will continue toward the NE.

Meanwhile, the SW Gulf of Mexico suspicious area was sporting an increase in thunderstorms. There is a chance that it could become a tropical cyclone as it drifts erratically in the next couple of days.

Couple of other areas to watch in the tropics also and we will do that.

Moisture from the Gulf system was moving northward to give showers to a lot of Louisiana and Coastal Mississippi. Some those were heavy early this afternoon.
