Showers and thunderstorms slow to develop today. In fact around 2 pm, there were virtually none over the north half of the state.
Down south, there was a cluster of storms on the west and north sides of Montgomery.
A line of thunderstorms was over Extreme SE Alabama. In fact that line of storms extended from Pensacola across SE Alabama, near Dothan, and into Central Georgia near Macon.
Line moving SE.
The more unstable air was down south. North Alabama settled down. As a result the NWS/Storm Prediction Center removed the “slight risk” from the north half of the state.
Hotter weather as we get into the weekend.
