Almost all of North and Central Alabama is still free of showers and storms this afternoon.
There are storms over western Georgia, southern Tennessee and northern Mississippi.
Stronger storms are near the Mississippi River. A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for counties in Southeast Arkansas.
Showers and storms will continue to develop through the evening hours ahead of the cool front that is expected to move southeast overnight.
