A wide north to south band of rain continues across Alabama late this afternoon and it continues spreading eastward.
At 4:30 the main part of the rain extended from about Hartselle to East Walker County and southward to near Greensboro, Marion and Camden. The east edge of the rain has reached the Fort Payne-Anniston-Rockford-Selma line.
Over on the west edge of the state the rain is mostly over from Florence southward to Russellville, Hamilton, Vernon and Aliceville.
One of the heavier actual rainfall measurments we have so far was from T. Williams, the 3340 Skywatcher in Fayette. He reports 0.82 of an inch with only a couple of muffled peels of thunder. No lightning seen.
Lightning detection equipment was not showing ant lightning at 4:30.
We will post a complete list of rainfall amounts after 6 pm.
