That line of showers/thunderstorms that was moving north through West Alabama is still there.

At 5:25, the line had moved northward to Aliceville in South pickens County, across North Greene County to near Greensboro in South Hale County. Heaviest part was over SW Pickens County. Rest of the line has weakened some.

A couple of trees were broken off or downed west of Thomasville in Clarke County (SW Alabama) earlier this afternoon. Very minor damage.

TOO HOT
High of 90 in Tuscaloosa this afternoon was a record for October 17. Previous record in 1953.

TORNADO WATCHES
Now covering almost all of Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, except the Panhandle and SW Missouri. A Moderate Risk was in effect for much of that area today but so far no major twisters reported–in fact hardly any.

All of Alabama is under a slight risk for tomorrow.
