Sorry for the break between posts. Had lots of lightning this afternoon which finally lead to an outage of cable TV, E Mail, Internet, you name it but everything is back up and running now.
So here is another update as of 4:20 pm:
* A Flash Flood Warning continues for East Calhoun County and West Cleburne County, including the city of Heflin, until 6:45.
* A Severe Thunderstorm Warning was to expire at 4:30 for parts of Autauga and Dallas Counties.
* Thunderstorms have greatly diminished across Jefferson County, although I feel sure there may be some flooding underway in some areas.
* Over in East/Central Alabama, very strong thunderstorms continue over North Clay County and SW Cleburne. It is literally pouring rain across Northern Clay County and I feel sure they are experiencing some flood problems.
* Also, some heavy showers continue over South Shelby, East Chilton and Elmore Counties in Central Alabama.
* Off to the west, a line of very strong thunderstorms over extreme East Mississippi will be moving into the West Alabama counties of Lamar, Pickens, Sumter and Choctaw later this afternoon or early evening.
We will continue to watch and wait.
