A good 80% of Alabama NOT getting rain at this hour. This is encouraging for high school football this evening.
However, a number of fields may be wet.
At 4:45 there was a lingering group of light showers in the Birmingham Metro–Jefferson and Shelby.
Heaviest showers were over West Alabama mainly South Pickens, Greene and Sumter County adjacent to the Mississippi border.
Not moving much.
Over NW Alabama there were some moderate showers over Franklin and North Marion County.
