BASED ON 11 PM CST INFORMATION
The dreaded arctic front, as midnight approached, had entered Extreme NW Alabama with the colder air spreading into the Florence, Red Bay Russellville area. It was 37 with north winds gusting to 28 mph at Muscle Shoals. Other 11 pm reports and all of these are behind the front.

In all of those cities, brisk north winds and, of course, very uncomfortable wind chills.
The front should reach the Birmingham area in a few hours–say around 2 or 3 am. Look for a very uncomfortable day tomorrow (Thursday)
