A band of scattered showers and thunderstorms continued late tonight right across the very center of Alabama from west to east.

Most of the showers/storms extended from Greene, Pickens and Tuscaloosa County eastward to Chambers and Tallapoosa County.

There was considerable lightning in that band of storms earlier tonight but by 11 pm, the lightning had greatly decreased. Also the showers were not as numerous and were generally diminishing.

Not much southward movement. They seemed to be redeveloping in the same general area but, overall, they were trying to rest for the rest of tonight.

This will be our last update for tonight as we close out another long, long day.

But life goes on through storms and calm. . . .
