A line of diminishing showers continues moving eastward at a steady pace through East and NE Alabama.
At 11:25 p.m, the line of showers extended from near Leeds on I-20 east of Birmingham northeastward to about Ashville and Gadsden into North Cherokee County in NE Alabama.
Virtuallly no lightning involved.
However, there are some strong gusty winds when the line of showers moves through your community, because it coincides with an eastward moving cold front.
Down in South Alabama, virtually all of the showers were gone and the Storm Prediction Center cancelled a Tornado Watch for parts of Central and SE Alabama and Georgia that was to expire at 1:00 a.m. CDT.
Lot of difference in the weather coming up for Monday as compared to the weekend. Brisk NW wind will feel very cool, because in many North Alabama communities the old backyard thermometer will not get out of the 50s.
Prepare for a freeze Monday night and Tuesday night. The low temperatures early Tuesday and Wednesday mornings across North/Central Alabama will be around 28 to 30.
Since the weather has toned down so greatly, this will be our final update unless something most unusual happens.
