Most of the thunderstorms late tonight in Alabama were over the central part of the state. At 10:30 pm, the main cluster was NE of Montgomery over NE Elmore and Tallapoosa County. Movement toward the NE.
This was part of a larger zone of showers and thunderstorms that extended westward generally along and near U.S. 82 through and near Columbus, Greenwood and Greenville in Mississippi.
Also lots of showers over Arkansas and Louisiana.
Substantial rain amounts likely for a good part of Alabama over the next several days.
