Note that it is expected to become a tropical or sub-tropical storm as it passes offshore south of Fort Walton. Then it is expected to be very near Dauphin Island by 7 am Saturday.
Landfall is projected near Bay St. Louis or Waveland on the Mississippi coast later Saturday. Then the center is projected to pass north of New Orleans Saturday night and then into west central Louisiana by early Sunday. Of course it will be down to a tropical depression again by that time.
Remember, don’t focus entirely on that center line. The tropical highway flares out to be much wider than that!
