The line of storms over West Alabama is moving a bit faster…averaging some 35-40 mph now, sometimes a little faster.
So adjust those times I mentioned a couple of posts back. For reference…looks like western Metro Birmingham around 5:30, downtown 5:45 p.m., eastern sections 6:00 p.m.
This is the main line. Once it passes, you should be in the clear for awhile.
There are strong storms now from western Hoover, through Alabaster, Calera and into northern Chilton County near Jemison.
