Showers and thunderstorms have increased in number this afternoon over Central and east Alabama. Some of them were dumping heavy rain.
The ABC 33/40 Skywatcher for Columbiana in South Shelby County reported very heavy rain.
At 3:20 pm, the strongest storms and the heaviest rain in these areas:
….Clay County, especially west of Ashland over into South Talladega County.
….Northeast Tallapoosa County
…Cleburne County in Extreme east Alabama near Heflin
Showers were increasing over Shelby County. Thse were moving toward the Birmingham Metro area.
Another area of showers over South central Alabama.
Everything moving toward the NNW
