That fairly short band of showers and thunderstorms that formed over West Central Alabama this morning was still ever-so-slowly moving NE this afternoon.
At mid-afternoon, the band of showers and storms extended from Marion and Winston County in NW Alabama, southeastward to Blount County. Occasional loud thunder can be heard north of Trussville. The heaviest rain was over Marion County.
Other showers, mostly light to moderate were over NE Alabama. Those were curving around and moving more toward the SE.
