Much going on around Alabama and mid-afternoon. To think about it, it has been that way all day. Here are a few notes to bring you up to date.

* The newest warning is a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Tuscaloosa County until 3:45. That was issued at 3:03 p.m.

* NWS cancelled the Tornado Warning for Bullock, Elmore and Montgomery Counties.

* Tornado Warning continues for Macon County until 3:30. The radar indicated a tornado was passing about 6 miles south of Milstead moving east at 35.

* NWS continues a Tornado Warning for Greene and Pickens Counties in West/Central Alabama until 3:45. Radar continued to indicate a tornado located near Aliceville moving east at 30.

* NWS cancelled the Tornado Warning for Lowndes and Montgomery Counties.

At 3:05 p.m., radar indicated torrents of rain over South Pickens County eastward into Central Tuscaloosa County. Also raining heavily over in extreme East Alabama and South Cleburne County and Randolph County, especially between Heflin and Wedowee.

* A Flash Flood Watch continues until 8:00 tonight. A Tornado Watch also continues for about 16 counties until 8:00 tonight from Jefferson County on the north down into South/Central Alabama.

We still have a long way to go before getting out of this turbulent weather event. Don’t be surprised to hear of some folks receiving as much as 5 inches of rain from the total storm event.
