Showers and thunderstorms this morning have left some cloud cover that has seemed to prevent some daytime heating and not allow as much instability to build. Not as many thunderstorms today as yesterday.
There are a few isolated strong thunderstorms across the state today. The main one we have focused on is in Winston County including the city of Double Springs. Gusty winds, small hail and very dangerous cloud-to-ground lightning are possible.
More storms have developed in each state that surrounds Alabama, and at any time other thunderstorms can develop anywhere in the area.
