A couple of clusters of moderate to heavy showers in Central Alabama at mid-morning.
Main one is over the north half of Chilton County in the very heart of Central Alabama.
The other one over South Tuscaloosa County and only moderate.
Movement is slowly east.
Our forecast was off-target for the expected amount of rain for the weekend in some areas but very much on target in others. We are receiving some strongly-worded emails and we respect that. There was less rain over sections of NW and West Alabama and more rain over the NE and much of South Alabama.
For example, only 0.01 at Birmingham Airport and a 0.05 at Shelby County Airport. Only 0.12 at Tuscaloosa Airport.
But in areas as nearby as NE Tuscaloosa County and in the Jasper area, over an inch.

Based on doppler radar, some places in SE Alabama received around six inches.
We will have another good chance later Tuesday, especially Tuesday night
