That is an enormous storm affecting the Northeast USA.
Definitely a textbook example of a nor’easter. Just a few late morning notes:
* Boston buoy reporting east winds to 40 mph with 22-foot waves
* Isle of Shoals, east winds gusting to 60 mph
* South of Montauk Point, the barometer has dropped to 973.6 millibars
* Mt. Washington, New Hampshire…zero visibility and blowing snow, 23 degrees, south winds gusting to 156 mph
* 28.77 sea-level pressure at Danbury, Connecticut and 28.78 inches at Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Some forecasters say this is equal to a category one hurricane; others even mention a category two.
