RADAR CHECK AT 6:45 P.M.
Still raining over almost the entire state, except a small area in the SE corner. Rain is moderate to heavy from Birmingham eastward to the Georgia border and at scattered spots over the rest of North Alabama. Down south, the main action is a line of severe thunderstorms from Pascagoula, Mississippi northeast across the Mobile area and the north tip of Baldwin County into Monroe County. A number of warnings have been issued along that line of storms.
This is the most widespread and beneficial rain we have had in a long time, mainly because it covered practically the entire state. A lot of the rain was slow and steady.
