The high temperature of 115 this afternoon in Buffalo, Okla., is the hottest temperature recorded anywhere in Oklahoma in 13 years!

Buffalo is in far NW Oklahoma (but still not in the Panhandle) at the junction of US 64 and US 183.

It was also a windy afternoon.

We hope that is not a bad omen for the rest of the summer in the Central Plains.
