The widely scattered thunderstorms that formed over the Tennessee Valley earlier this afternoon continue to move toward the SW. The better showers are still generally across the valley.
However, isolated ones developed in the sea of heat and humidity further south.
At 4:20, isolated ones were near Jasper and over NW Jefferson County and even a few as far south as along the Perry-Hale County line in West Central Alabama.
Earlier, these reports from blog readers:
* 2:50 pm, a nice steady downpour in the Crestwood-South section of Birmingham
* Light shower at Trinity Medical Center.
After the sun goes down these showers/storms should lose their will to live.
