Officials in Franklin County of NW Arkansas now report one fatality because of the very large tornado that moved through that area earlier. They also report that three other persons are missing.
The fatality was apparently in the town of Denning (population 270) which seems to be one of the hardest hit areas.. Reports say that the town has been destroyed. A number of other communities in that part of the state have also been hit with considerable damage.
Search and Rescue personnel have been sent to those areas.

That Southwest Missouri city will now become a familiar word in, not only weather circles, but also with the general public because of their tragedy. Too bad they had to suffer through another tornado warning around midnight. Those folks were scared to death about having to go through that again. Latest numbers from Joplin:

Since those big, bad, mean thunderstorms have moved NE out of Arkansas and since we do not expect a threat in Alabama today, I am headed for a bit of shut-eye. (Maybe a 2 or 3 hour power nap Been up all night but used to it.
