* 6:38 p.m., 3 miles ENE of Rainsville in DeKalb County. Chicken houses damaged.
* Also in DeKalb County, trees and power lines down near the Blake Community Center along County Road 505 near Highway 27.
* In Cherokee County, trees down along County Road 48 east of Sand Rock and on County Road 44 west of Cedar Bluff.
GREATER BIRMINGHAM UPDATE
Moderate to heavy rain continues to spread ENE from Eastern Tuscaloosa County into the west edge of Shelby County and SW Jefferson County. It appears that the heaviest of this rain will spread toward Alabaster, Hoover and parts of the Birmingham area, but North Jefferson County may miss out. It is thundering in the Birmingham area at this time.
