* Vic Bell, 33/40 Skywatcher at Scrougeout in NE Etowah County reports a high today of only 32.8 and now down to 32. Occasional periods of snow and sleet this afternoon. This included one two-minute burst of heavy snow with large flakes that slickened the steps. Porch still slippery.
* James Lowery from the Cherokee County EMA Office in Centre reports ice on bridges on highway 68 west and highway 411 in Leesburg and highway 9 in Cedar Bluff.
