John Talbot keeps us posted on scanner traffic from storm affected areas…he reports…

Alabaster FD reporting lightning has struck a tree at 1396 Sequoia Trail and has burst a water main. Saying water is everywhere and that’s not counting the rain.

Alabaster FD now going to a house on Mohawk Dr on a possible house fire.

Severe thunderstorm warning continues for Shelby County until 9 p.m.

Storm is still intense from Maylene to south of Alabaster to Saginaw and Calera.

Radar estimates indicate upwards of two inches of rain may have fallen in the Bluff Park area. Probably that much in spots between Helena and Pelham as well.
