Well, what do you know!? Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms have been rumbling across western Alabama this morning. Our Hamilton SkyCam in Marion County has measured 0.75″ since the rain showers began late last night, and radar estimates show areas of Lowndes County, Mississippi and Lamar County, Alabama with more than 1 soaking inch of rain!
None of the storms this morning are severe, and no widespread severe weather is expected with showers and storms later today. The Storm Prediction Center has outlined much of Mississippi with a *SLIGHT RISK* of severe weather, but that does not include any of Alabama right now.
Bring on the rain! We’ll have the latest on the forecast at 5 AM on ABC 33/40’s Good Morning Alabama, and of course James will have his Weather Xtreme video posted by 7 AM.
