Booming thunder is waking up some folks across Central Alabama this morning.
Storms are developing rapidly this morning all across the I-59 corridor.
Storms were growing rapidly in the Leeds and Moody areas southeast of Trussville down as far south as US-280. Lots of heavy rain, lightning and thunder in that one.
In West Alabama, they are heavy in Greene County, near Eutaw. Storms were backbuilding into Lamar County
Thunderstorms are over Pickens County, mainly east and southeast of Carrollton, extending up to Gordo.
Storms are in western Jefferson County from Adamsville down to Lake View and Brookwood.
Some heavy rain under the strongest storms. Doug Bennett in Leeds reports 1.75 inches in just 10 minutes.
