You can just about turn the air conditioning off for at least the next couple of weeks, as a cold front is moving through Alabama early this morning, and it doesn’t look like the cool air is going anywhere in a hurry.
We’ll see temperatures drop into the lower and middle 50s this evening, and with a breeze it will be chilly at high school football games. Saturday and Sunday look nice and cool, with highs only near 70 and lows in the 40s. Sunday morning, 40’s should reach as far south as Troy and Auburn, with some spots in the 30s.
The weather pattern should become more active over the next couple of weeks. The jet stream, typically marking the temperature difference cold air and warm air, is moving south, and we’ll have several fronts and chances for rain, along with cooler weather.
