Very little going on in Alabama at noon. Only a few light showers separated by a lot of miles. Balmy everywhere.

Nearest significant showers…western Arkansas.

CHECKING ON OUR ARCTIC COLD FRONT
Low pressure area forming over SE Arkansas and NE Texas on the front is holding up the action temporarily. As the low moves NE along the front and gets out of the way, the very cold air will sweep eastward more rapidly. May between midnight and 3 AM before the front reaches Birmingham.

SEVERE WEATHER THREAT
Storm Prediction Center (SPC) took out SE Alabama from a slight risk. However, much of North, Central and West Alabama still included. For Birmingham Metro, should be a late night event. Forcing looks impressive but instability relatively weak.
