At mid-day, most of the showers in Alabama were over the Extreme North and NW part of the state.

Except…

Down south showers were more numerous along the Mississippi/Alabama Coast and part of NW Florida.

Scroll down to see the Flash Flood Watch for part of that area.

We will watch to see if the stuff along the coast will at least partially cut off the main moisture supply for North Alabama like it did last time. Does not appear the be as distinct this time.

This rain event will be longer drawn out than the last one.

Amazingly, some of our guidance paints 6.19 inches of rain in places like Livingston between now and daybreak tomorrow. Some other model data laughs at that.

It will be interesting to see this drama unfold.

SEVERE WEATHER OUTLOOK
Storm Prediction Center still has part of West Central and SW Alabama under a slight risk for this afternoon and tonight. It is roughly from Tuscaloosa southward.
