I just had to post this picture which was tweeted by the NWS in Mobile, AL, with credit given to the Dauphin Island Chamber of Commerce. Now that really gives me a chill. You just don’t see ice on Gulf Coast piers very often!

The upper-level ridge to our west and surface high pressure to our east keep Alabama mild and dry again today. The ridge will move eastward throughout the week allowing for a slowing warming trend to occur, but rain will stay out of the forecast. Continue reading

An upper-level ridge to our west and surface high pressure to the northeast will keep Alabama dry and slightly cooler this weekend. As we head into the week, the ridge will spread further into the state, warming us some and keeping rain chances at bay. Continue reading
