NWS Birmingham Will Have A Spe...

The Storm Prediction Center has requested the NWS Birmingham office to launch a special 18z (12PM) sounding due to the impending weather today. So at the noon hour, a special balloon launch will take place to record atmospheric data. We’ll have an update on those results when that comes in.

Also, the regularly scheduled weekly NOAA Weather Radio test for today has been postponed due to the threat for severe weather. It will be conducted on the next good weather day.
