Showers were already in progress over parts of North and NW Alabama this morning.
At 8:35, showers were extensive across Fayette. Walker, Winston and Lawrence County.
Moving almost due east.
The rain will overspread much of:
Morgan County
Blount
North Jefferson
within the next hour.
Heaviest rain at 8:35 was over Fayette and Walker County in places like Fayette, Berry, Bankston, Townley, Jasper, Cordova, Parrish.
Good rain amounts in those areas.
So far, not a whole bunch of lightning. But it will be there for you as the day wears on.
Lightning is frightening.
