The strongest thunderstorms were beginning to move away from Birmingham in the very young minutes of Wednesday and into parts of NE and East Alabama.
Scattered strong storms were noted over parts of Cherokee, St. Clair, Calhoun, Dallas and Wilcox counties. Also some strong ones getting close to Troy in SW Alabama.
Severe Thunderstorm Warning continues until 1 am for NW Wilcox County.
Scott McClellan reports loud thunder on Dauphin Island but his Dachshund, Oscar, is rolling at his feet wanting to play.
Overall, the storms seem weaker but will stay with it until we can be sure.
