The rainfall totals have been very impressive across Alabama. There were also some amazing totals in Florida, in Panama City to be specific. One of my good friends, Jason Kelley works at WJHG in PC. He’s the Chief Meteorologist there and they had quite an amazing day. Once we got back from Storm Alert in Lineville I heard of all the flooding and rainfall totals they had, some topping out at 9 inches!
Here is an email from Jason:
“Bay schools are closed today, Bay Co courthouse has a roof failure and had water pouring in, Bay EOC was flooded last night. We had about 20 road closures at the worst point last night. PFN total was about 2 ½ inches, but was clearly wrong. We had spotter and coop reports from 6 ½ to 9 inches of rain…we got just shy of 8 here at the studios.”
It seems amazing to be talking about flooding and PC is expecting more rain today!
