The new batch of storms that moved into NW Alabama around midnight moved east and remained over the northern counties. They gradually weakened and no formal warnings were necessary.
At 4:40 am, it was still raining over the extreme north, mostly light to moderate.
Look for more showers and thunderstorms today especially afternoon and evening. So far the Storm Prediction Center does not have us under a slight risk today. However, some of the storms could be strong.
We should get a break from so many storms starting tomorrow.
