I will be brief because I am very busy soaking the fresh coffee. Yummy, yummy,

It took all night for that second band of showers to reach Central Alabama and now it looks like much of the BMD (Birmingham Morning Drive) will be wet.

Leading edge of the rain at 5:40 am was near the Guntersville-Oneonta-Birmingham-Tuscaloosa-Eutaw line. Moving slowly east.

The band of rain, or showers is at least 40 miles wide and it is moving slowly. There are some pockets of moderate to heavy rain over parts of Walker, Fayette and Lamar County.

Check out the morning video discussion from James which will be available soon. It is always a complete presentation on what is causing what in the field of Alabama weather.
