Penny sized hail reported at Fire Station in Winfield. A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect until 445 for SE Marion County. Fayette County has been cleared. The intense thunderstorm is between Winfield and Brilliant, moving quickly northeast.
This warning may have to be extended into Winston County in the next 15 minutes.
Significant weather alerts are in effect for several Central Alabama counties…radar shows strong storms at 4:35 over parts of Jefferson… Shelby… Walker… Winston… Marion… Bount and Cullman Counties. The strongest storms were in marion County and between Garden City and Hanceville.
