At 3:40 p.m., the main line of thunderstorms extended from near Huntsville southwestward across NW Cullman County to near Jasper, Tuscaloosa and Eutaw in Greene County. Some of the most intense thunderstorms were over the north edge of Tuscaloosa County to Central Walker County.
That line is moving east. It is pouring rain over parts of Walker, Tuscaloosa and Northern Greene Counties, not to mention the dangerous lightning.
A Severe Thunderstorm Warning continues for Greene, Hale, Pickens, Sumter and much of Tuscaloosa Counties until 4:00 p.m.
PROJECTION FOR BIRMINGHAM AREA
Some of these intense thunderstorms will be moving into West Jefferson County before 4:00 p.m. and probably into the immediate Birmingham area as early as 4:30. Stay tuned.
