A large mass of rain and storms continues over South parts of Central Alabama this evening…
A cluster of fairly strong storms is exiting Calhoun and Cleburne Counties into Cherokee County…
The main rain area extends south of a line from Butler and Linden to Camden to Prattville, Wetumpka, Dadeville and Lafayette.
The rain area is pushing east.
The storms over Northeast Alabama are approaching Centre. They contain very heavy rain, lightning and possibly gusty winds.
Elsewhere across Central Alabama…light showers are moving across Chiltonand Coosa Counties, as well as some decreasing moderate showers movcing out of NE SHelby into southern St. Clair and Talladega Counties.
Shower and storm activity will continue to diminish and move east this evening.
Some lucky spots in South Alabama have gotten as much as three inches or more of rain with this system according to radar estimates. Much lighter amounts have been reported over Central Alabama.
