Showers have become rather numerous over parts of North Alabama this morning…
They extend from Jackson and DeKalb Counties in Northeast Alabama, down through Marshall, Blount and into Jefferson Counties, extending over into Cullman, WInston, Lawrence and Morgan Counties. Walker County will experience some showers also.
The activity is moving to the WSW. It is associated with the fringes of Tropical Storm Barry, which will make landfall around lunchtime north of Tampa.
Clouds cover much of the eastern two thirds of the state this morning. The only sunshine is over the extreme western portions of the area.
Those clouds and showers may continue to affect the eastern two thirds of the area for much of the day.
