Sitting on the porch, listening to rain and thunder and enjoying a little of nature’s air conditioning tonight here in Trussville.
I am appreciative that it rained tonight instead of last night here in Trussville, since the Hewitt graduation ceremonies were at Jack Wood Stadium last night.
Radar shows showers with occasional lightning from Trussville up to west of Argo and then over Alabama 79 south of Locust Fork in Blount County.
These are pulse storms that flare up, rain themselves down, then pulse back up.
To the south, a longer lived complex of pulse storms is near Columbiana headed toward Calera and near Jemison, headed toward Montevallo and Wilton. This large complex covers parts of Shelby, Chilton and Coosa Counties.
Expect brief heavy rain, gusty winds and deadly lightning as these storms continue moving northwest I said northeast earlier…sorry…but you knew that.)
