Reporting from the alabamawx western bureau on the Warrior River (and stealing wi-fi from a boat! Brian would envy me).

Rainfall estimates from the past 24 hours show that while some locations have received over 2″, others have only gotten a little shower. That is how it will likely be again today and tomorrow, with an upper low and plenty of unstable air. The thing about these storms…it can be sunny one minute, and start lightning from a developing storm the next. And, the lightning has been intense with storms. This is the main danger. If you hear thunder or see storms approaching, go indoors. Fisherman on lakes…pull in to cover. Golfers, leave the course. Use common sense. Lightning causes more deaths in an average year than tornadoes.
